Miguel Vieira Batista
Miguel Vieira Baptista (1968) studied industrial design at the Institute of Visual Arts in Lisbon and at the Glasgow School of Art. Since then he has been designing an array of products for diverse companies. He is also involved in curatorial projects since 2000, working in important exhibitions such as “Dieter Rams Haus” at CCB in 2001. Additionally, Vieira Baptista also lectures at the industrial design course at the Arts and Design School in Caldas da Rainha, and was a guest professor in 2010 at ECAL in Lausanne. His work has been travelling around the world to be presented in many exhibitions and some of his designs are now part of the permanent collection of MUDE, the Lisbon's Museum of Design and Fashion.
In 2006, he designed the Scatola Armonica for the TemaHome Trends collection.
