Tiago SITIMA

Tiago Sítima was born in Lisbon, in 1987. His interest in drawing and objects made him join Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, where he finished his degree in Equipment Design, in 2009. Interested in deepening his knowledge, he followed his Master in Equipment Design in the same university, until 2012.

Tiago collaborates with Temahome since 2015 as a member of the Design and Product Development team. While a Designer, he considers it is important that the form of objects adapt to its function, searching for the needs of the users. Another of his concerns, involves the search for simple and intemporal forms, capable of adapting to the largest possible number of contexts.

He always looks for simple shapes which adapt to the function of the product and simultaneously give a differentiating character.

Proportion and harmony between volumes are two fundamental aspects in his design process.

Our designers

Nuno ROSA

Product designer at TemaHome, Nuno Rosa is since an early age fascinated by the world of objects. During his high-school years he studied arts and developed an interest in drawing, leading him to pursuit the industrial design course at Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha.

Nuno is a part of TemaHome’s team as from 2012, and since then he has been an essential element on the development of some of the company’s products. For him, a product’s utility should take centre stage during the design process, as he believes all objects should first and foremost be practical. He doesn’t follow a particular designer or style, but instead, draws his inspiration from objects he comes across in his daily life.

Function and form mark most of Nuno’s design for our furniture, making for practical and easy to use pieces, best suited for an everyday use while bringing comfort to your home.

It was when she won a Design contest organized by IADE, called Creative Week, that she decided her path would follow Product Design. She specialized with a Master in Equipment Design at Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. During this period, she developed a project in partnership with the company Temahome, which offered her the possibility to internship with the company and in 2019, she became part of the Temahome Portugal Design team.

She likes to create simple and functional products, which respond to a necessity and that are in some way conscious; she seeks to differentiate with the use of forms, details and finishes.

Inês wants to create better and more sustainable solutions, which alone might not change the world, but will help make it better.

Our designers

Inês MARTINHO

An observer by nature with a clinical eye for detail, designer Inês Martinho admits that much of her work is influenced by the 40s and 50s, mainly by some design greats like Jean Prouvé or Charles and Ray Eames.
To Inês, history is always the starting point from which to look at the market’s latest trends.

A graduate student from IADE-U – Institute of Art, Design and Enterprise – University- in Lisbon, she was awarded the school Revelation Award in 2009.
So far, she has had a rich and diverse career, with a special highlight being the two years she spent as a product developer at a high-end German furniture company located in Munich.

Our designers

Délio VICENTE

Délio’s work is clearly influenced by the context where he was raised. Being the son of a carpenter, he soon got used to the world of furniture, as he spent his childhood days exploring wood at his dad’s workshop. When he later had to decide what career to follow, it was clear that industrial design was the only option, a course he conducted at ESAD in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.

During his studies Délio also had the chance to participate in an exchange program at the Nottingham Trent University in England, where he delved into the extraordinary context of British furniture and product design, a world that showed him new perspectives he later brought to his own work.

Before graduating he was already featured in national and international design awards such as Experimenta Design 2003 in Lisbon, and the 2005 Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée in Naples. In his pieces for TemaHome, Délio explores archetypal forms, conferring a contemporary look to them.
